Slate Fit

For studio groups

Multi-location studio software for your second studio, and your eighth

Slate Fit runs every location of a boutique fitness business from one account: each studio with its own rooms, timetable and staff, and members who can book at any of them.

Staff access

Managers run their locations, not everyone’s

Every staff role is given for the whole business, a region, or one studio. A manager at your downtown studio can read the uptown timetable but cannot change it. Ask to change a studio you do not run and you are refused outright, never handed an empty list that looks like a bug.

  • Roles are granted per location, per region or for the whole business.
  • Nobody can grant a role at or above their own, and manager roles are granted only by the owner.
  • Every staff account signs in with a second factor, so a borrowed password is not enough.
  • Every change made from the staff side is written to an audit trail as it happens.

Regions

Group your locations the way you manage them

Put your studios into regions, such as the three in Austin and the two in Dallas, and give a regional manager every studio in their region without handing them the rest of the business. Open a new studio in that region and it is already theirs.

A regional manager can bring on front-desk staff for the studios in their region, without waiting for the owner, and without being able to make anyone a manager.

Members

One membership, every location you choose

A member signs up once and books at any of your studios with the same account. You decide where each product works.

  • A membership or class pack can cover every location, or only the ones you pick.
  • A premium product can be limited to the locations, and the spot types, that justify its price.
  • A member’s balance is the sum of every credit given and every class taken, wherever they took it.
  • Late-cancellation and no-show rules follow the studio the class is in.

Policies

Set a policy once, change it where a location is different

Write your cancellation window and no-show rules once for the business. Override them for the one studio that runs 6:00 AM classes, for a class type, or for a single class. Staff can always see which rule applied, and where it came from, before they explain a fee to a member.

Reporting

Every location in one view, or one at a time

See bookings, attendance, no-shows and revenue across every location together, then narrow it to one studio or one region when a number looks wrong. The timetable, the rosters and who owes money work the same way: all locations, or one.

Each location

Every studio keeps its own rooms, timetable and feel

A multi-location group is not one studio copied six times. Each location has its own rooms, with its own floor plan of bikes, reformers or mats, its own weekly timetable and its own instructors. Recurring classes hold their local time across the clock changes, so the 7:00 AM class stays at 7:00 AM in March and November.

What stays the same everywhere is the member account, the products you sell and the rules you set for the whole business.

Opening the next one

Opening a new location without starting again

The second studio is where most software starts to hurt: a second account, a second login for every member, and two sets of numbers that never agree. With Slate Fit a new location joins the business you already run.

  • Add the studio, its rooms and their floor plans, and publish its weekly timetable.
  • Put it in a region, and the regional manager already has it.
  • Choose which of your existing memberships and class packs work there, from day one.
  • Your members already have an account, so the new studio is one more place to book rather than one more sign-up.
  • Give its manager and front desk access to that studio alone.

Money and data

Your money and your data stay in your business’s name

Card payments from every location land in a Stripe account in your business’s name, with your own Stripe dashboard. No marketplace sits between you and a member who was already yours.

Your classes, members and history sit in your business’s own database, never in a table shared with another business, and if you ever leave, you take your data with you.

Switching

Moving several locations at once

Moving six studios is a bigger job than moving one, and the fear of it keeps groups on software they have outgrown. We do it with you, on a call, rather than handing you a file to check afterwards.

  • Start with one location as a pilot, then move the rest in an order that suits your calendar.
  • Members, class packs, remaining credits and expiry dates come across with each location.
  • We agree what your members are told, and when, before anything changes for them.
  • Go live on a quiet day, not the morning your busiest class opens for booking.
How switching works

Before location three

Seven questions for any multi-location studio software

Most studio software was built for one room and stretched. Ask these on any demo, ours included.

  • Can a manager be limited to the studios they run, and what do they see if they ask for another?
  • Can a regional manager cover a group of studios without seeing the whole business?
  • Can one membership work at every location, and can another work at only two?
  • Can one studio have a different cancellation window without a separate account?
  • Can you see every location together, and then one at a time?
  • Does each studio keep its own rooms and floor plans?
  • Where do card payments land, and in whose name is that account?

Multi-location studio software FAQ

Is there a member app?

Yes. Your members get the member app in your studio’s own name, powered by Slate Fit, on iPhone and Android. They book their spot at any of your locations, join a waitlist, check in and cancel from it.

Can a member book at any of our locations?

Yes, with one account. You decide which memberships and class packs work at which locations.

Can a manager see only the studios they run?

They can read the timetable everywhere and change only their own studios. Ask to change another and they are refused outright.

Can a regional manager cover several studios?

Yes. Group studios into regions and give the role for the region. A studio added to that region is covered from the day it opens.

Can each location have its own cancellation policy?

Yes. Set one for the business and override it for a studio, a class type or a single class. Staff see which rule applied.

Can we see all our locations together?

Yes. Bookings, attendance, no-shows and revenue across every location, or narrowed to one studio or region.

Where do card payments go?

To a Stripe account in your business’s name, for every location. Cards are collected by Stripe, never by our servers.

Can we move every location from Mindbody or Mariana Tek?

Yes, one location at a time or all together. We move members, class packs, remaining credits and expiry dates with you, on a call. Switching.

What does it cost?

It depends on how many locations you run and roughly how many members you have. Send us your current invoice and we will match it. Pricing.
